Organisation: Jerahuni Movement Factory is a professional dance company founded by Mclntosh Jerahuni based in the slumbs of Mbare, Harare, Zimbabwe.
History: Jerahuni Movement Factory is a uniquely structured dance company which began as a solo project founded on 15th January 2012, in  Zimbabwe.

The company is there in place to serve dance worldwide, to contribute and   to the efforts already in place mainly in the Zimbabwean society, culture and abroad.

*Jera- means to dig and huni-is firewood which artistically means molding and giving life to junk until it becomes the most meaningful piece of art. The dance technique allows you to investigate deeper about self/identity, the way you move and to gain the know-how of roots of movements. Jerahuni Movement Factory is introducing dance in its various forms with emphasis on the Zimbabwean identity.

The company offers free classes to the community for all ages and was invited to conduct a two weeks workshop on movement and choreography at the University of Zimbabwe with assistance from Lloyd Nyikadzino who is a theatre practitioner.

Mission: to create a uniquely Zimbabwean contemporary dance expression through investigating the “Zimbabwean Self” and the qualities that are unique to the Zimbabwean dancing body and fusing this with contemporary dance techniques to produce world class dance performances for the widest possible audience.

This is attained through:
• Daily training and research into a Zimbabwean contemporary expression.
• Daily rehearsal of new choreography and repertoire.
• Creating new performance platforms that are accessible to a wide audience.
• Being cultural ambassadors for Zimbabwe and role models for aspiring young artists.

Now in its 7th year, Jerahuni Movement Factory is in the process of regrouping after five years of operating as a solo project because of the economic difficulties, and like all Zimbabweans trying to keep their head above water in the current environment. Nevertheless, we continue to facilitate the expression of a new generation of Zimbabwean choreographers.
